SVD "A&K" - ENG.

Hello! Today I am happy to give
my review of Airsoft A&K Dragunov SVD Spring Sniper Rifle

When I got to my hands a gray box with no overprints on it, I had no idea what was going to happen. While I was standing there motionless, I got interrupted by the words: “Take this SVD and test it”. So I opened the box with a great interest. As it turned out, there was a quite interesting replica inside. Since my first impression was very positive, I quickly packed the box back and went outdoor.
When I arrived I unpacked the replica straight away. What struck me the most it was its butt and a very nicely made front. However, the greatest advantage of the replica is metallic body with side mounting rail, which enables a simple installation of optics. Immediately after the overload you can see a piston, which is probably made of aluminum, a cylinder, a hop-up chamber and a brass cylinder head. In the box you can also find an extra magazine and a “key” which controls the gunpoint.
Finally it was time to do an outdoor test. Overloading went quite smoothly, and then the shot was fired! The reaction on a trigger and the range were very decent, the replica worked really quiet. After setting the hop-up system (I advise you to get an allen 1,5) I started target shooting at a tree (diameter about 50 cm) from a distance of 40 m. I managed to get 8 hits in 10 shots from a prone position, but it wasn't the same from a standing position, where I got only 5/10. After the test I had some discomfort in my arm – unfortunately the reloading was getting harder and harder with every shot. When the adrenaline goes down, you will feel how exhausted you are.

Now it’s time to do a summary:

            Advantages:
+ nicely made butt, front and metallic body
+ very satisfactory range in the stock
+ quite good concentration (it’s possible to make it better by installing an AEG precision barrel)
+ good reproduction of the original weapon
                        + reliably made internal components
+ the replica isn’t heavy (in my opinion that’s an advantage, because it makes it easier to handle; you also need to be aware of the fact that with spring rifles it’s useful to have an extra AEG replica on your side)
+ an extra magazine in a set
                        + good value for money

            Disadvantages:
                        - it’s hard to quickly overload the replica
                        - the body is made probably of Zamak
                        - there is no allen 1,5 in the set, which is necessary to regulate the hop-up system

If I have an opportunity to check this little thing and tune it, I’ll describe it to you for sure.

Talk to you soon,
Jay
